Pletal is a medication used to treat pain and numbness in the legs. Pletal is available as a brand name or generic drug and comes as an oral tablet.
Pletal is a medication that contains the active ingredient Cilostazol. Pletal is used to treat intermittent claudication, which includes symptoms of pain, numbness or tingling in the legs, usually due to blockages in the arteries.
It is typically taken twice daily and works by preventing platelets from sticking together in the blood.
Side effects of Pletal include dizziness, headache, diarrhea, upset stomach and nose or throat irritation.

You should take Pletal at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after a meal. It may take several weeks of treatment to see the full benefits of Pletal.
This medication should not be used if you have a history of heart failure. Tell your doctor if you experience chest pain, abnormal heartbeat, extreme dizziness or if you pass out.
Tell your doctor if you have any unusual signs of bleeding while taking Pletal such as vomit that looks like coffee grounds, blood in the urine or stool, more frequent bruising or any abnormal bleeding.
