Regonol (Pyridostigmine) Medicare Coverage

Regonol is a medication that contains the active ingredient Pyridostigmine. Regonol is used to strengthen muscles and to reverse the effects of muscle relaxants after anesthesia from surgery.

Regonol is typically given in the hospital. It increases the levels of a chemical called acetylcholine in the muscles to improve muscle function.

Side effects are rare when taking Regonol, however upset stomach and muscle cramps can occur.

Side effects that could indicate a more serious reaction include stomach cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, excess saliva, pupil constriction, sweating, muscle cramps, twitching, weakness and slowed heartbeat.
