Demadex is a medication used to treat swelling and high blood pressure. Demadex is available as brand or generic and comes as an oral tablet.

Demadex is a medication that contains the active ingredient Torsemide. It is used to treat swelling associated with heart failure and liver or kidney disease. It can also be used to treat high blood pressure.

Demadex is a tablet that is typically taken once daily. Demadex prevents your kidneys from reabsorbing salt, which can increase the amount of water you excrete. This helps get rid of swelling and can lower blood pressure.

Demadex is usually well-tolerated but can make you urinate more often.

Demadex will make you urinate more often. To avoid this disrupting your sleep, try to take your dose several hours before you go to bed.

This medication has little to no side effects but can cause electrolyte problems with long-term use. Talk to your doctor if you experience signs of low electrolytes including mood changes, confusion, muscle pain or weakness, abnormal heartbeat, dizziness, fainting, seizures, fatigue or upset stomach and vomiting.
