Detrol is a medication used to treat overactive bladder. Detrol is available as brand or generic and comes as an oral capsule or an oral tablet.

Detrol is a medication that contains the active ingredient Tolterodine. Detrol works in the bladder to decrease pressure and help reduce symptoms of overactive bladder.

Detrol is available as a long acting oral capsule or a short acting tablet. This medication is taken 1-2 times daily.

Detrol can be taken with or without food, but the long-acting formulation should be taken with a full glass of water. Try to take this medication at the same time every day.

Detrol can make you dizzy or tired. Be careful while driving and performing other tasks.

This medication can cause swelling called angioedema in some people who take it. Signs include swelling of the hands, face, lips, eyes, tongue or throat.
