Since diuretic medications help you get rid of liquids by causing you to urinate more often. Try to take your evening dose before 6 p.m., if possible, so as to minimize negative impacts on your sleep.

Furosemide can cause severe dehydration and can cause your electrolytes to fall very low. Be sure to follow up with your doctor regularly.

Signs and symptoms of a fluid or electrolyte problem include mood changes, confusion, muscle pain or weakness, abnormal heartbeat, dizziness or passing out, fast heartbeat, extreme thirst, seizures, lack of appetite or the inability to pass urine.
