Robaxin is medication that contains the active ingredient Methocarbamol. Robaxin is used to treat muscle spasms as well as muscle pain and stiffness.
Robaxin works in the brain to help relax muscles. It is typically taken 4 times daily by mouth or 3 times daily if you are using the injection form.
Side effects of taking Robaxin include upset stomach, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, insomnia, stuffy nose and a metallic taste in your mouth. If you use the injection, you may notice pain where you gave yourself the shot.

If you are using the injectable form of Robaxin, do not use for more than 3 straight days.
Typically, Robaxin is used alongside physical therapy, pain medications, rest and other therapies. It may not be effective when used alone.
Robaxin can cause you to be dizzy or drowsy after you take it. Avoid doing activities that require your full attention, such as driving. Talk to your doctor before drinking alcohol or using other medications that slow your actions.
Do not take Robaxin if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
